About Travis
I’m a Senior Civil Designer with more than 17 years of experience working across civil engineering, mining, earthworks and infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally.
Civil 3D and AutoCAD have been core tools throughout my career, and I’ve worked on everything from detailed earthworks and drainage design through to roads, mine infrastructure, quantities, rehabilitation and large multidisciplinary projects.
I enjoy teaching because Civil 3D can be frustrating when you’re learning it, and often a small amount of practical guidance can save hours of trial and error. My aim is to explain not just which buttons to press, but how experienced designers actually approach a problem in the real world.
I’m friendly, patient and happy to work at your pace, whether you’re completely new to CAD or already working professionally and need help solving a difficult problem.

My lessons are practical, hands-on and tailored to what you actually want to achieve. Rather than following a fixed textbook curriculum, we can work through real Civil 3D or AutoCAD problems together using screen sharing and practical examples.
I can help with AutoCAD fundamentals, Civil 3D surfaces, feature lines, grading, alignments and profiles, corridors, earthworks, cut/fill quantities, drainage, drawing production, templates and troubleshooting.
I’m a Senior Civil Designer with 17+ years of industry experience across civil, mining and infrastructure projects, with extensive day-to-day Civil 3D experience.
Lessons are suitable for university or TAFE students, graduate engineers, junior designers, experienced professionals moving into Civil 3D, or anyone who is simply stuck on a particular drawing or model.
Sessions can range from structured learning through to a focused “rescue session” where we troubleshoot a specific Civil 3D problem together.
