About Berné
As a mathematics graduate currently pursuing her PhD at the intersection of physics, mathematics and complexity science, I think mathematics is the most beautiful thing on earth.
My goal is to help others discover that beauty and develop confidence in their own mathematical ability.
With over 9 years of tutoring experience, I've been privileged to work with students of all ages, backgrounds, and ability levels. This has taught me how to adapt my teaching style to each individual, so that we can build understanding, confidence, and enjoyment together.

Mathematics should be one of the most logical, intuitive subjects there is—something that simply makes sense.
It's a pity we don't all experience it that way, and that's exactly why I'm here. My lessons are built on many worked examples, which allows to strengthen problem-solving and gain confidence in the underlying concepts. I like to bring maths to life by showing how concepts are used in the real world.
Typically, lessons will last 1 hour for older (secondary and university) students, and 30 minutes for primary schoolers, although I'm happy to adapt.
