About Kayla
I am a classically trained singer who has been mentored throughout the Conservatorium by industry professionals. I have had experience teaching (classical, musical theatre and pop) as well as collaborating with musicians alike. I am currently teaching students (within a school) voice and performance. I currently have some time slots available for keen students via online lessons or in-person (depending on location). I would love to share my passion with eager students who would like to learn how to sing! I have a current blue card, and have the ability to teach tone, pitch, articulation, placement of voice all whilst maintaining a healthy voice (I have tips for this as well!) As a teacher I like to find out about my student; their vocal goals, strengths and weaknesses as well as what is needed to be worked upon towards becoming the best version of themselves and reaching their goals! Throughout each lesson, we will develop and practice healthy vocal technique through exercises, correct breath support and posture. We will also focus on developing the individuals performance, through not only vocal expression however through instilling a sense of confidence in their capabilities (a huge factor towards singing). My aim is to focus on bringing out individuality (what sets an artist apart) as well as guiding each student in the direction of self-discovery (style of voice, strengths, weaknesses) whilst improving their vocal technique and vocal health. I am able to adapt to each individuals learning style, as well as offer an interactive, fun and safe space to learn.
