About Kiran
My name is Kiran Raj, and I specialize in a theory-driven, technique-focused approach to guitar—rooted in the Circle of Fifths as a central framework for mastering harmony, fretboard navigation, and musical composition. With over 10+ years of experience in guitar performance, songwriting, and teaching, I’ve developed a method that bridges the gap between music theory and practical application. My goal is not just to teach students what to play, but to help them understand why it works—empowering them to become independent, creative musicians. Through structured exercises, progressive repertoire, and targeted fretboard training, my lessons focus on: • Developing functional sight-reading and rhythmic accuracy • Building fluency in chord voicings and inversions across the neck • Enhancing left- and right-hand coordination for speed and articulation • Internalizing major/minor scales, modal theory, and intervallic relationships • Applying theory to improvisation, songwriting, and composition I believe that the guitar is more than an instrument—it’s a map of harmonic relationships.
