I have performed in opera houses and concert halls in 34 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and America. My artistic career has been awarded with important international distinctions, among which the following stand out:

· I Prize of the Beniamino Gigli International Competition, Italy, 1960.
· I Prize of the Frascatti Competition, Rome Italy .1960.
· Prize of the jury of the VII Festival of the Song. Città di Roma.
(Trophy received from the hands of the tenor Tito Schipa). 1960.
· I Prize of the International Singing Competition of Toulousse, France, 1962.
· Laureate in opera and interpretation of Bulgarian songs in the
Young Opera Singers Contest. Bulgaria, 1967.
· Extraordinary Prize for Spanish music at the Francisco Viñas Contest,
Spain, 1967.
· Gold medal at the Katia Popova Laureate Festival. Bulgaria, 1970.
· Order of Artistic Merit of the Republic of Poland. 1974-
· Order XXX Anniversary of the Republic of Czechoslovakia. 1980.

I was founder and, for fourteen years, Head of the Singing Department of the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) of Havana. In 1983 he was awarded the Teaching Category of Titular Professor and in 2001, a similar distinction was also conferred by the District University of Bogotá.

. Selected by the Cubarte Company as the most relevant male singer in the history of Cuban Lyrical Art.

About the lesson

The pedagogical approach is oriented very particularly to singing students or singers of any vocal genre, as well as to pedagogues of singing, musical grammar, composers, musicologists, lecturers, as well as for anyone attracted by the fascinating charm of interpretation in the sphere of the singing voice. The universal laws that govern the human response to the dissimilar phenomena and processes of the world are proposed, expressed in the form of symbols and terms. My goal aspires to open a gap of clarity in the darkness through which the artistic image transits in the Song.
Regarding the technical factor, I always try to start from the possibilities to the limitations, with a view to eliminating fear factors that can damage the vocal organ and consequently, facilitate integration into the fascinating world of artistic image.
