About Noelle
I’m an English tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Cultural Studies. My teaching style combines language learning with curiosity about the world. I enjoy helping students see English as a way to explore ideas, cultures, and global events.
In my lessons, we often work with news analysis, documentaries, and feature stories from modern media. These materials make learning English more dynamic and meaningful. Students practise vocabulary, discussion skills, and reading comprehension through real-world topics.
We also talk about bias in media and how different sources present the same story in different ways. I introduce basic ideas about journalistic ethics and responsible storytelling. This approach helps students think critically and express their opinions with clarity.
Many of my learners are aspiring journalists, politically engaged students, or global citizens who enjoy thoughtful discussions. My goal is to help students communicate confidently while developing a deeper understanding of the world. English becomes more than a subject—it becomes a window into global conversations. My teaching approach uses food and cooking as exciting tools for learning English. Food is something everyone enjoys talking about, which makes conversations natural and engaging. In my lessons, students learn vocabulary about ingredients, cooking styles, and flavours from around the world.
We often discuss recipes and practise explaining cooking steps clearly. This helps learners develop strong speaking skills and improve their ability to give instructions. It also introduces useful verbs and everyday expressions.
Students also practise situations such as reading menus, ordering meals, and asking about dishes in restaurants. These activities prepare learners for travel and social experiences. Many students enjoy sharing their favourite meals and food traditions.
I encourage learners to use descriptive language when talking about taste, texture, and aroma. This helps them express ideas more vividly and confidently. Lessons are friendly, creative, and full of imagination. Let’s grow your English skills while discovering the delicious stories behind food.
