About Ruby
I am a passionate flute teacher with over 7 years of teaching experience, guiding students from different academic and professional backgrounds. I teach beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners from schools, colleges, and working sectors. My teaching method is clear, practical, and supportive.
I focus on strong basics such as breathing control, embouchure formation, finger accuracy, and rhythm stability. As students progress, I introduce advanced techniques and expressive playing styles. I also teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, and ear training to strengthen overall musical knowledge. I believe regular feedback and consistent practice are key to success.
My unique skill is designing personalised lesson plans that match each student’s goals. My aim is to make flute learning structured, enjoyable, and inspiring for every student.

I begin with foundational skills such as proper posture, breath control, and tone production, then gradually introduce articulation drills, scale patterns, finger agility exercises, and expressive phrasing.
I adapt lesson strategies to suit each student’s preferred learning method, ensuring clarity and engagement. Flexibility allows me to customise lessons for exam preparation, competitions, stage performances, or personal musical exploration.
Collaboration plays a key role in keeping students involved and accountable in their progress. Positivity ensures a supportive classroom atmosphere where students feel confident to overcome challenges.
Alongside flute performance training, I also provide instruction in music theory basics, sight-reading practice, rhythm studies, and ear development for comprehensive musical growth.
