About Annabel
I am a dedicated and successful Sociology tutor, with a proven academic record. I received full marks in my A-level across 30 markers, 20 markers, 10 markers, and 4 and 6 markers, making me receive the highest mark at my Sixth Form for Sociology. I am a university student studying sociology, and I have a strong grasp of sociological theories and critical analysis, as seen by my constant high 2:1s and Firsts. Each student's demands are catered for in the tutoring approach, which emphasises: Developing Essay Writing Skills: Acquire the ability to organise writings that satisfy exam requirements. Develop the capacity to assess theories and concepts critically by honing your critical thinking skills. Exam Strategy: Recognise the criteria that examiners use and learn how to get the most points possible. Applying sociological theories to current events will make learning more interesting. My lessons are ideal for A-level and GCSE Sociology. I am passionate about making Sociology interesting and accessible for A-level and GCSE students. My tutoring approach: Building solid fundamental skills while enhancing critical thinking skills and essay writing. Helping students not only comprehend the material but also find studying enjoyable, I combine essay plans, interactive conversation, and real-world examples. Teaching methodology: My sessions are tailored to each individual's particular requirements and preferences. I focus on: Breaking down complex theories and ideas into comprehensible concepts. Creating well-developed essay plans to help with exam performance and preparation. Improving evaluation and critical analysis skills. Inspire students to develop their sociological knowledge. Class time: Usually run for an hour but can adjust this to your preferences.
