About Janet
I’ve graduated from Curtin University in software.
I started tutoring peers and students in lower year levels in High School. After this I started tutoring and it has been almost 7 years since I have started.
I enjoy tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to teach in a one-on-one situation, focusing my attention on one willing student, and waiting for that moment when everything clicks. That moment is really rewarding.

Maths is always more than memorising equations or rules, to truly 'get it' is to understand the concepts and reasoning behind them.
Hence my Lessons would not only explain the theories and concepts, it would involve students to delve into related problems and gain a better understanding of the topic themselves.
I also believe it's important to build an easy rapport with students at the start, making the student feel at ease, putting the student in a position where they would feel comfortable asking questions, for example, and getting a complete understanding of the material at hand.
