About Luis
You can call me just "Luis" (I'm "Luis Maia"). When I am not sleeping, I do engineering with a deep focus on software, data analysis, and quantitative logic.
My day-to-day life is immersed in developing and testing algorithmic/math solutions. Because I am currently preparing for high-level civil service exams in the IT/quantitative branch of Tax sector and also studying quantitative financial models, math isn't just theory to me—it is the main tool I use to build my present.
Precisely for the dedication and focus on high performance, I perfectly understand the pains, the anxiety, and the difficulties of learning something new. I know what it's like to look at a page of Calculus and understand nothing initially, and I know the logical and methodical path to overcome that barrier.
Outside of my technical studies, I am a person focused on discipline, learning strategy, and patience. As a tutor, my biggest goal is to transmit this same clarity to my students, proving that math is not a seven-headed monster, but rather a puzzle that can be solved with the right method.
Here is a fun fact about me: I'm currently enrolled in soccer training, and I play soccer matches twice a week. It's fun and rewarding!

Hello! I'm an engineering senior student with a deep passion for quantitative analysis and algorithms. Because my long-term career goals revolve around complex mathematical modeling and tech, I spend my days living and breathing math and logic. I know firsthand how intimidating Calculus and advanced Mathematics can seem, but I also know how rewarding it is when it finally "clicks."
About the Lessons: My teaching philosophy is simple: understanding over memorization. I won't just give you formulas to memorize; I'll show you why they work and how they are applied in the real world.
Patience & Focus: We will go at your pace. Whether you need to build your foundation from scratch or tackle complex university-level Calculus, I will break down the concepts logically until they make perfect sense.
