About Yucheng
My name is Steven and I am a Chinese-background speaker, however I can also speak fluent English. I have been tutoring and teaching for the past 3 years, students range from kids to adults. Piano is my main area of focus, alongside music theory and percussions. I apply different teaching methods for each individual student, considering their capabilities. Wether you intend to learn the AMEB syllabus or not, I can still assure you a great playing journey.

Over the past 3 years of tutoring students ranging from beginners to intermediate pianists, I have gained confidence in my method of teaching. Two of my students has each succesfully passed Grade 4 and Grade 5 AMEB exams with their corresponding theory knowledge, gaining 'Distinction' and 'High Distinction'.
I have completed the AMusA (Associate of Music) piano degree in 2019 and AMEB Grade5 theory in 2020. The typical length of the lesson ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour and I am capable of teaching with either english or chinese.
