About Amber
Authentic communication requires understanding cultural context. I admit that textbooks often ignore how people actually speak. My instruction focuses on pronunciation and vocabulary building that reflects the reality of living abroad. Because I come from Lima, I emphasize that Latin Spanish cannot be successfully translated word for word. Grammar and verb conjugation are the nuts and bolts of what I provide. I admit that learning a new language is rarely a quick fix. My 11 years of experience allow me to break down complex concepts for adults and working professionals who need results. I hold a Diploma of Music which taught me how to listen to the rhythm of speech. Having taught many students, I enjoy identifying the subtle differences between Latin American and Castilian variants for intermediate learners. Perhaps you might want to join me for a session.
