About Ophelia
I earned a PhD in Hispanic Studies and have spent 9 years teaching Spanish to learners of different ages and abilities. Teaching has allowed me to share both the language and the rich cultures connected with it. I enjoy helping students become confident communicators through supportive instruction.
My teaching style combines organisation, patience, and interactive learning experiences. I explain difficult concepts using simple language while encouraging students to practise regularly and ask questions. Every learner receives lessons designed around individual strengths and personal goals.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy exploring Spanish literature, Latin American culture, and language research that keeps my knowledge current. Bringing authentic cultural experiences into my lessons makes learning more meaningful. I look forward to helping every student achieve confidence and fluency in Spanish.

My Spanish lessons focus on helping students communicate with confidence while developing a solid understanding of the language. We study grammar foundations, verb conjugation, sentence building, pronunciation, vocabulary expansion, listening practice, reading activities, writing exercises, and real-life conversations through clear step-by-step instruction. Learning remains practical, enjoyable, and easy to understand.
I use conversation cards, role plays, picture discussions, grammar reviews, cultural topics, and interactive exercises to make every lesson engaging. Students receive personalised feedback that strengthens accuracy while encouraging natural communication. Lessons are adapted to different learning goals so every learner progresses comfortably.
I want students to enjoy speaking Spanish instead of feeling nervous about mistakes. Every lesson builds stronger communication skills, greater cultural understanding, and lasting confidence. My goal is to help learners use Spanish comfortably in everyday situations and continue learning with enthusiasm.
