About Parika
I am a recent Psychology graduate who is currently working in North London. I lived in sunny Spain for the majority of my childhood and education. Being involved in the culture and education, I have a very well-rounded knowledge of the language in both academic settings and in the everyday Spanish-lingo!
I have taught Spanish to mainly GCSE and A-Level students and beginners and intermediate learners who are learning it as a pastime or for a particular role. I have achieved high levels of student satisfaction, such as improving a student’s ‘listening’ skills in Spanish from A-level B to an A*. My aim is to make lessons as stimulating and interesting as possible, and most of all, resulting in you feeling confident to use the Spanish you have learnt with me.

My teaching methods are tailored around the needs of the individual learner, not being too rigid in a particular style as everyone has different ways of learning. Basically its all about YOU! This is crucial to achieving the best progress!
The general structure when tutoring GCSE and A-Level students follows the curriculum and learning objectives set by the school teachers. Alongside school material, I provide additional worksheets and activities to help with areas the student may need more work on. Importantly, the lessons are always working towards improving exam technique and performance.
Lessons for individuals who simply want to learn Spanish separate from school, are planned around the particular timeframe and goals the individual has, which we can work together to create. We go through different topics every lesson, focusing on all areas of speaking, writing and listening. I can provide an example of a teaching plan from an previous student if you are interested, just drop me a message!
