About Laura

I'm a gray haired educational psychologist whose passion is languages, has a lot of experience in teaching, especially online, and that's why I want to help you!
Even though I've worked in customer service ages ago, I still love people.
I lived in Cork (Ireland) a few years back so I know how it feels to listen to a conversation you cannot understand (I got it after some time!)

About the lesson

In every class, you will learn something practical that you can immediately use, whether you're an absolute beginner, struggling with pronunciation or looking to deepen your knowledge of tricky grammar topics.

For absolute beginners, I usually start by focusing on basic sounds (crucial for both reading and communication skills!). Then, depending on your needs, we can explore relevant topics and expressions (e.g. How to order at a restaurant, how to book a holiday...). Of course, this will depend on your goals—we could also work on reading-focused lessons or help you navigate specific websites in Spain.

I exclusively offer online lessons (in-person classes are available only during summer, when I return to my beloved Cork). I’ll help you decide on the best lesson duration and frequency based on your goals.

I particularly enjoy teaching adults (and teenagers with prior online learning experience).

I’m fluent in English, so I can provide any explanations you need. I understand the challenges of learning a second language and also speak French, Catalan, and some Portuguese. If you speak any of these languages, we can use them to accelerate your Spanish learning journey.
