About Maria Jose

Hello there! I'm a cheerful and enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about Spanish
1. What teaching methods do you use to help students learn effectively?
I use a mix of conversational practice, grammar exercises, and cultural insights to help students learn. My approach is interactive and practical, focusing on real-life situations. I adapt to each student’s learning style to make lessons engaging and productive.
2. Do you provide customized lessons based on a student's goals (e.g., travel, business, exams)?
Yes, I tailor my lessons to meet each student’s specific goals. Whether you’re learning Spanish for travel, work, or personal growth, I’ll design lessons that focus on the vocabulary and skills you need.
3. What resources or materials do you provide during lessons?
I provide worksheets, audio clips, reading material, to make learning dynamic. I also recommend movies, songs, and books in Spanish to practice outside of lessons.
4. How do you make learning Spanish fun and engaging?
I use fun activities like role-playing, audios, videos, flash cards... to make learning enjoyable. I introduce music, and discuss traditions to keep lessons interesting and relevant.
5. Can you teach students with no prior knowledge of Spanish?
Absolutely! I work with complete beginners and guide them step by step. I focus on building a strong foundation in basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar to help them feel confident from the start.
6. What’s your experience working with children or adults as students?
I’ve worked with both children and adults. For kids, I use creative activities like songs and games to keep them engaged. For adults, I focus on conversational practice and tailored lessons that suit their personal or professional needs.
7. How do you help students stay motivated while learning a new language?
I set achievable goals and celebrate every milestone. I also encourage students to practice in real-life scenarios, whether it’s watching Spanish shows, trying a recipe, or having conversations with native speakers.

About the lesson

Greetings! My name is Maria, and I'm from Chile. I'm glad to welcome you to my profile, where I offer relaxed and stress-free Spanish language lessons. I believe that making mistakes is part of the learning process, and I encourage my students to ask questions and voice any concerns they may have. In my classes, we communicate in Spanish exclusively, starting with the basics such as numbers, alphabet, basic vocabulary, and simple phrases for beginners. As we progress, we move on to more complex vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structures. My classes cover various aspects of language learning, such as speaking, reading, listening, and writing, and I'm happy to tailor the lessons to meet the specific needs of my students. Before we begin, I will assess your level of Spanish proficiency to determine how best to proceed. We will start with an informal conversation, during which I will point out your mistakes and offer congratulations when you do well. Based on your interests and needs, we will focus on specific areas, such as practical exercises, dictation, listening to audio, and grammar exercises. I have experience teaching Spanish to teenagers and children, and I welcome students of all ages and levels. If you have a particular area of interest or need to learn Spanish for a specific situation, please let me know, and I'll be happy to accommodate your needs. I hope you find my profile informative and inviting. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or if you'd like to schedule a lesson with me.

Maria Jose's response
I recently had a Spanish class with Paul, and it was an absolute pleasure. He is friendly, engaged, and motivated to improve his Spanish. During our session, I could see his intermediate-low level skills in action, and it was great to have a conversation with him. Thank you, Paul!

I have been taking Spanish classes with Maria for the past year, and I have been extremely happy with her as a teacher. Even though Spanish is not my native language, Maria has made it easy for me to understand and learn. She is very patient and understanding, and she takes the time to explain everything clearly. Maria is also very supportive, and she always encourages me to keep practicing and improving. I appreciate that she creates a positive and comfortable learning environment, which makes me feel more confident when speaking Spanish. Her lessons are well-structured and focused on my individual needs, and she always provides me with helpful feedback. Overall, I highly recommend Maria as a Spanish teacher to anyone who wants to learn the language with an experienced and caring teacher.
