About Juan Sebastián

I'm a cultural anthropologist and contemporary dancer from Colombia. I love creative and collective artistic and research processes and I take kindness and empathy as my main guides in life.

I've been working in varied fields, from being a professional contemporary dancer to working with social organizations and even co-leading an international documentary film festival in Bogotá, Colombia.

I'm currently studying a master's program in Anthropology of Dance and I'm developing my thesis' research about dancefloors as places of identity exploration and political engagement.

About the lesson

Hi there!

I'm Juan, an enthusiastic online Spanish tutor. As an international student and researcher in the field of Cultural Anthropology, I firmly believe that languages are a powerful tool for learning and connecting with others and for discovering new cultures and places.

In my classes, I focus on a practice-based approach, which means we'll dive right into using Spanish in various real-life situations. From my own experience, I've learned that the best way to truly grasp a language is by immersing yourself in its practical application. Through interactive tasks and engaging activities, you'll not only learn grammar and vocabulary but also understand how to use them effectively.

One aspect that I prioritise is empathy in my teaching methodology. I take the time to understand your interests and what makes you passionate. By tailoring our lessons to align with your preferences, I ensure that you stay motivated and excited to learn. We'll explore the language through topics that spark your curiosity.

So, if you're ready to embark on this exciting adventure of mastering Spanish while exploring your passions, I'm here and thrilled to help you succeed. Let's get started and make your language learning experience enjoyable and rewarding!
