About Konstantina

Hi, I'm Konstantina, a final-year Cardiff University student graduating in Economics with Spanish. I have consistently achieved First-Class marks in Spanish throughout my degree and reached C1 proficiency.

A key part of my language journey was spending a year abroad at the University of Valencia, where I studied Economics entirely in Spanish alongside native speakers. This experience allowed me to use Spanish every day in both academic and social settings, significantly developing my fluency, confidence and understanding of Spanish culture. Studying a technical subject in Spanish also strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas and engage with the language at a high level.

I achieved an A* in A-Level Spanish and a Grade 9 in GCSE Spanish, giving me a strong understanding of what students need to succeed in exams. As a non-native speaker, I understand the challenges of learning a language and can explain concepts in a clear, relatable way. My aim is to help students build confidence, improve their Spanish and achieve their goals in a supportive learning environment.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is tailored to each student's goals, current level and learning style. Having learnt Spanish as a non-native speaker myself, I understand the challenges students face and can explain grammar, vocabulary and exam techniques in a clear and accessible way.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and combine speaking, listening, reading and writing practice, depending on the student's needs. For GCSE and A-Level students, I focus on building confidence, improving exam performance and developing strong language skills through targeted practice and feedback. For beginners, I aim to create a supportive environment that helps students build a solid foundation in Spanish and gain confidence using the language.

I am graduating from Cardiff University with a degree in Economics with Spanish and have consistently achieved First-Class marks in my Spanish modules. I hold an A* in A-Level Spanish, a Grade 9 in GCSE Spanish, and reached C1 proficiency. I also completed a year abroad at the University of Valencia, where I studied in Spanish and immersed myself in the language and culture.

My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level students, university students seeking additional support, and adult beginners who would like to start learning Spanish or improve their existing skills.
