About Akeisha
I’m a 21-year-old Criminal Justice major with a 3.20 GPA and a full course load at Sam Houston State University. My tutoring style is founded on logic and clarity; I enjoy finding the joy that I feel as an individual in our shared “ah” moment in math and science when someone has an “aha” moment.
I have 1 year of experience as a ESL teacher/ volunteer with ENGin and I have helped many non-native English speaking students develop their confidence through consistent and organized instruction with lots of patience. Additionally, I have had over ten years of experience as a competitive choir member and I plan on applying the same discipline I learned to my students’ academic success.

A'keisha, a driven high school student, juggled the demands of SAT prep and vocal training. Balancing academics and passion, she found that both pursuits complemented each other, teaching her resilience and the importance of nurturing every part of herself.
The narrator embarked on a structured approach to SAT prep, recognizing its significance for future opportunities. Through practice tests, additional resources, and a balanced schedule, they not only improved their academic skills but also cultivated essential qualities like self-discipline and time management.
A'Keisha, a gifted and compassionate classmate, was a true leader who always extended a helping hand. Whether you needed help with homework or a listening ear, A'Keisha was there, her kindness radiating through. She wasn't just a friend, she was a cherished confidant. Her musical talents were equally remarkable. As a member of the school chorus, her voice was a highlight, particularly during the University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions where she consistently shone.
A'Keisha's leadership skills were evident in her knack for organizing successful school fundraisers. Her dedication to helping others, without any expectation of something in return, spoke volumes. She had an uncanny ability to plan every detail to perfection, ensuring each event ran smoothly and made a real difference in the lives of her fellow students.
It was A'Keisha's kindness and helpfulness that made her such a beloved figure in our class. She had a way of connecting with everyone, making each person feel truly understood. Her sensitivity to others' feelings was genuine and evident in every interaction. In the classroom, she was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it was with schoolwork or a personal matter.
A'Keisha's exceptional organizational skills and her unwavering kindness were on full display during the school’s fundraiser. Her leadership style was unique - it was rooted in empathy and compassion, a shining example of what true leadership should be. In short, A'Keisha's positive influence created a more supportive and uplifting environment for everyone around her.
A'Keisha wasn't just a great student; she was a star in our school's chorus. From the moment she joined, her vocal talent was undeniable. Her voice had this unique quality that could stir deep emotions and hit those high notes effortlessly, leaving everyone, including the teachers, completely mesmerized. With each practice, she seemed to get even better, making her a standout in the group.
She was dedicated, often the first one to arrive and the last to leave rehearsals, sacrificing her free time to perfect her craft. This dedication paid off, earning her frequent solo opportunities where she truly shone. Her performances were filled with passion and authenticity, resonating with audiences and earning her well-deserved recognition, even beyond our school, notably at the University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions.
Beyond her vocal abilities, she was also incredibly helpful to other chorus members. She would patiently guide them through challenging parts and encourage them to keep going. Her supportive nature fostered an inclusive and motivating environment, making her a cherished member of the group. Her combination of extraordinary talent, kindness, and leadership left a lasting mark on our school’s music program.
A'Keisha's vocal excellence was truly something special. Her performances, both in school and at the UIL competitions, often led to standing ovations and top-tier awards. Her voice had this uncanny ability to express deep feelings, captivating everyone who listened. This wasn't just a personal victory for her; it was a source of pride for our entire school community. It was inspiring to see a classmate achieve such great heights. A'Keisha’s success in her solo performances and UIL competitions truly showcased her remarkable talent and dedication.
One of the many things A'Keisha excelled at was organizing school fundraisers. Her ability to plan, coordinate, and execute these events was amazing. She had this innate understanding of how to motivate her peers, making each event not only successful but also super fun.
A'Keisha's meticulous attention to detail and her genuine passion for helping others were at the core of her leadership. She would always choose a cause that resonated with the students, ensuring everyone felt a personal connection to it. She also made sure to involve a diverse group of students in the planning, valuing every opinion and encouraging everyone to contribute.
Her fundraisers were always special because of her creative ideas. She would come up with fun themes and activities that got tons of people involved, both students and faculty. She was also great at securing sponsors and managing the finances, so each event not only met but often exceeded its fundraising goals.
Her dedication went far beyond just managing these events. She poured her heart into them, creating a sense of purpose and community, making them unforgettable experiences for everyone. Through her leadership in organizing these fundraisers, A'Keisha showed us all how to bring people together for a good cause.
