About Nina
Hello! I’m a French tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in French and Francophone Studies. I specialize in helping high school and university students who find French grammar and essay writing challenging. My approach is creative, supportive, and focused on making the language feel accessible. I break down complex grammar rules into simple, manageable steps that actually make sense. Instead of memorizing, we focus on understanding how the language works and why. This makes it easier for students to build a strong foundation and apply grammar correctly in writing and speech. My teaching approach for French is practical, engaging, and focused on real-life use. Lessons include simple dialogues, role-playing, and situation-based practice like ordering food, asking for directions, or making travel plans. I focus on vocabulary retention using visuals, spaced repetition tools, and regular review games. Grammar is taught in context, not in isolation, so it feels natural and connected to what you’re saying.
I support learners who want to reconnect with their cultural roots or travel with ease, helping them speak clearly and confidently. Whether you are starting from scratch or picking up where you left off, I adjust the lessons to fit your pace. I also use songs, short stories, and cultural content to make learning fun and memorable. Listening and speaking are key parts of every session.
