About SU
I have always had a love of the spoken and written word. At the Auckland University of Technology, I was involved with Beginner Level Students. This experience reinforced to me that grammatical skills are important. Now, I continue to work hard to make learning these skills easy and practical. They are a vital component of communication, as is pronunciation, and correct intonation. These work together to make you a confident and fluent communicator in English. I enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life, and we have fun chatting together.

I began teaching at the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. After several years I moved to Southeast Asia, and taught in Singapore and Vietnam. I came home to New Zealand in 2017, and have been helping people with English online since then. I have enjoyed working with people from the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and South America.
Speaking is the one English skill you can't learn from a book. The only way to learn speaking is to do it! With careful questions, I can lead you to practice speaking on a range of topics in a confident manner. Being one-to-one, there is no need for you to feel embarrassed or shy.

I will only conduct lessons for a maximum of 30 minutes ( $NZ 15.00 per lesson).
This is because any longer than that will overload you with new vocabulary or grammar points that will be hard for you to assimilate and retain.
