About Kashif
I'm a qualified Chemistry teacher and I've spent the last 10 years focused entirely on this subject, teaching students sitting IGCSE, GCSE, A-Level and IB exams. I hold a master's degree, and I've worked with students across many schools and curricula — which is where my feel for the different exam boards comes from.
What matters most to me is that a student genuinely understands something by the end of a lesson, not just nods along. I'm patient when a topic takes a few goes, and honest about what needs work. The best way to judge if I'm right for you is to book the first session and see how we get on.

I teach Chemistry, and only Chemistry — IGCSE, GCSE, A-Level and IB. That's been my focus for 10 years, and it's the reason I can usually spot within a lesson or two exactly where a student is going wrong and why their grades aren't moving.
Every student I take on is different, so I don't run a fixed script. Some come to me confident but stuck on the harder topics; others have lost the thread completely and need to rebuild from the ground up. We usually start by going through whatever you're working on right now — recent homework, a topic that isn't sticking, a past paper that went badly. From there I explain the idea properly, with examples and diagrams that actually make it click, and then we practice it together on real exam questions until you can do it on your own. I'll set a bit of focused homework at the end so the next lesson isn't starting from scratch.
The thing students tell me makes the biggest difference is that I know the exam boards inside out. Each one wants answers phrased a particular way, and marks get thrown away on small things that have nothing to do with whether you understand the Chemistry. I teach you both — the subject, and how to actually get the marks for it.
