About Sophia
Seeing my students improve their grades and confidence in the subject is the most rewarding aspect of working as a tutor. I’m always prepared to adapt my teaching method to suit the learning style of my students. I base my sessions on content being covered in class, as well as future topics. I provide extensive revision material and help/feedback outside of tutoring hours. I ensure my students are well-equipped with knowledge of study strategies and techniques so that they’re able to work effectively independently.

Sessions begin with an introduction to the topic at hand. I’ll demonstrate examples and link content to real-life situations. We will work through practice problems together and complete a quiz. Questions will be answered to clear any gaps in the student’s knowledge.
I hold a working with children check, over three years’ experience tutoring students with a range of learning styles, and am currently completing a combined Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Secondary Teaching at UWA.
