About Karla
I have been a vaudevillian, jazz singer, event producer, busker ,world traveling troubadour, and activist all of my adult life. I am a Puerto Rican ¨Military Brat¨ who has spent my whole life traveling immersed in different cultures, classes, races and social practice. Most of my experience as an artist has been in organizing community cultural events and performing as an MC, accordionist, juggler and clown. I few years ago I was hit by a car and I now have less ability to travel, coordinate events and perform, but I want to stay in the field to meet and work with many artists, and culture workers who need and want to take the stage. I am here with the hope of cultivating a great network of musicians, artists , and creators.

I am a lifetime artists, street performer, vaudevillian, cultural activist and accordion repair specialist who would love to meet and work with aspiring artists and performers that want to up their skills and game in performance, accordion playing, street performing and more. I have had folkloric levels of experience on theatre stages, circus events, and street performing. As I age I do not want to continue on the stage, but behind the scene with many artist who are called to the stage to develop and explore creative cultural outlets of music, theatre, performance arts, battle rap, and live stage presence practice.

Perfect! Karla is a patient, kind and professional teacher.
She didn't just carefully listen to my needs, she customized my first class based on my goals with the accordion, gracefully introduced me to the instrument, showed me some do's and don'ts, and kindly instructed me what to look for when searching for my own accordion.
