About Anna
I hold an MBA from UC Davis, along with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in education from the same school. I held a 3.97 GPA through undergrad and grad school.
Additionally, I understand the school system well. I have taught courses to international students at UC Davis, and I have worked in student services at UC Berkeley and UC Davis. When not tutoring, I currently work as a labor market analyst for the local community colleges, which gives me strong insights about the skills employers are looking for and the future trends in academia and the workforce.

My tutoring is entirely based on students’ needs and goals. I am very patient with students, trying multiple approaches to each problem until we find one that works for the student. I try to make my sessions with students as efficient as possible, answering all specific questions while providing more context and practice beyond the scope of the assignment where it is necessary. I also lean heavily into practice problems and other ways to apply the material in real-world contexts.
I believe that all students can learn the subjects I tutor with adequate practice. After meeting with me, many students find that the course is more straightforward than they initially thought. Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing students learn to like a class that they have struggled with or get an A in a class they thought they would never pass.
I have worked with students ranging from 8 years old to over 50 years old. While I have most often worked with undergraduate students in their first statistics courses, I can tutor high school math, various levels of statistics, and business administration courses.
