About Lesley
Hi, I'm Lesley! I’ve been sewing since I was about 10 years old, when I first learned how to thread a needle and run a straight stitch. Life took me in many directions over the years, but recently I’ve felt a strong pull back to sewing—and I’ve fallen in love with it all over again. For me, sewing is more than a hobby. It’s calming, creative, and deeply meaningful. There’s something incredibly satisfying about taking a piece of fabric and turning it into something useful, beautiful, or sentimental. Whether I’m making something for my children, a gift for a friend, or simply creating something from the heart, sewing brings me joy and a sense of purpose. I love the quiet, thoughtful rhythm of sewing, and how it allows space to reflect and unwind. I also love how empowering it is—being able to make and mend things with my own two hands feels like a lost art that’s worth keeping alive. Now, I teach sewing to help others experience the same joy. Whether you’re brand new or just want to get back into it like I did, I’m here to guide you with patience, creativity, and encouragement. Let’s create something meaningful together!

Hi! I’m Lesley, and I teach sewing because I believe it’s more than just a skill—it’s a form of self-expression, creativity, and even a way to connect with our roots and loved ones. Sewing has brought so much joy and peace into my life, and I love sharing that with others.
Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your technique, I tailor each lesson to your goals and pace. I teach in a relaxed, encouraging way—step by step, hands-on, and with plenty of room to ask questions. You’ll not only learn how to use your machine confidently but also how to bring your ideas to life, from simple hems to custom pieces. There may be times where I will be learning right alongside you, but we will figure it out!
My goal is to make sewing approachable, practical, and fun—whether you're mending clothes, making gifts, or starting your own creative business. Let's stitch something beautiful together!
