About Jethro
I have read for a degree in BSc Mathematical sciences from Stellenbosch University, where I also tutored Mathematics and Mathematical Biology. I have professional tutoring experience working directly with learners in the Paarl area, supporting students from high school to university level. I am patient, structured, and focused on helping students build real understanding and confidence in mathematics. I teach in English and Afrikaans, and I enjoy working with motivated learners as well as those who need extra support to strengthen their foundations.

My lessons are structured, clear, and focused on building strong foundations in mathematics. I begin by identifying problem areas, then break concepts down into simple, logical steps before moving on to practice and exam-style questions.
I focus on understanding rather than memorisation, helping students apply methods confidently. Lessons are adapted to each student’s pace and learning style, and I teach in English and Afrikaans.
Each lesson includes a short speed test to check understanding, followed by a brief progress report highlighting strengths, gaps, and what to focus on next. Lessons are aimed at high school learners (Grades 8–12) and university students, including exam preparation.
