I am a Stellenbosch University Honours graduate that studied a BSc in Agriculture. I did Plant pathology and Genetics as my fourth year subjects, I have also spent many hours in a lab setting. I have been part of many study groups and tutored fellow students in subjects we shared.

I believe that tutoring is a constant back and forth between the student and the teacher. The tutor should be engaged in the topic at hand so that a positive attitude can be created about the work. The tutor should also remain patient as to allow the student to create their own conclusions instead of seeking quick answers. When correcting a mistake I believe positive reinforcement is very important.
