About Rohini
I am an undergraduate student at UCSD majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Biology (GPA= 3.9). I have completed 2 years of high-school Biology (including topics covered in AP Biology) and excelled in college-level lower and upper division courses in Biology. I have previously taught over 30 students for a non-profit organisation. I have experience in public speaking, interpersonal skills and communication through my experiences which include working in research labs, leading an on-campus student association and volunteering with teams for social causes.

My primary teaching strategy involves tailoring my lessons to best fit the student's individual needs. As a cognitive scientist, I am aware of efficient teaching strategies which can enhance learning and memory and wish to employ these research-based strategies while teaching. While I wish to motivate my student with external goal- fulfilment, I also wish to inspire in them, an interest and curiosity about the subject, so as to engage the student's intrinsic motivational system.

Details
My in-person lessons have a standard rate of $14/hr with a fixed travel fee of $20. Ideally, I would like to take 2 classes a week, each ranging 1-2 hours depending on the student's needs. My online classes have a standard rate of $12/hr and similarly, at least 2 classes a week, ranging 1-2 hours depending on the student's needs. My first lesson is a trial and always free.
