About Danielle
Calculating lines on a chessboard initially felt like solving complex mechanical puzzles rather than a game. I spent years refining my analytical skills to earn the FIDE Master title and a peak rating of 2250.
This path led to obtaining my Australian Chess Federation Coaching Certification. For 13 years, I have worked with adults and juniors across Melbourne to sharpen their tactical accuracy.
Witnessing my students reach Australian junior podiums remains a career highlight. My coaching focuses on the 1200 to 1800 rating range for club and online players. Perhaps we can discuss your specific goals during an introductory chat.

Good chess improvement requires less intuition and more structured blunder checking. Most players waste time memorizing openings instead of mastering middlegame planning and pattern recognition. I utilize a detailed study plan tracked week to week to ensure consistent progress. My lessons emphasize endgame technique and positional understanding to build a foundation.
We focus on visualization and calculation drills. Mastering king safety and pawn structures becomes effortless with my guidance. Recording and notation provide the data for our review. Results follow consistent application.
