About Jacinta
Hello, my name is Jacinta. I am from England, but I grew up overseas in India and Uganda before I moved to the US for university. I recently graduated from Swarthmore College where I majored in Honours Economics and Political Science, and I am currently playing semi-professional football in Spain. As I grew up overseas, I always enjoy meeting people from different countries and cultures and I’m always ready to talk football, and sports in general, if we share those interests (Manchester United fans you are especially welcome :)

I have over 170 hours of tutoring experience and I am here to help if you are looking to improve your reading and writing skills. I have worked as a research assistant at the University of Oxford and as a journalist for the Pulitzer Centre on Crisis reporting. I am familiar with a wide range of writing levels from secondary school to the undergraduate level, and I am here to help you strengthen your reading and writing skills and structural essay editing. In my lessons I seek to create a comfortable and engaging environment that follows the structure that best suits your learning style. It can be a conversational environment where we review previous work, or I can come with a structured lesson plan.
