About Heman

Hi, I'm Heman
I'm a qualified secondary teacher and currently completing my Master of Teaching at Western Sydney University. I've taught at Parramatta High School and Evans High School in Blacktown, where I was praised for my strong content knowledge and the way I connect with students in the classroom.

Teaching has always felt natural to me. As the eldest of three siblings, I grew up helping with homework and explaining things at home. I started tutoring when I was 16, and over time I realised how much I enjoy helping others learn. I’ve also worked as an English language instructor, which helped me grow even more as an educator.

I teach Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Maths, Environmental Science, and English, along with general subjects for younger students. I'm good at breaking tricky topics down into simple, clear explanations. I know that every student learns differently and at their own pace, so I always try to make my lessons flexible and supportive. I also hold a valid Working With Children Check and have experience working with students of all ages in both one-on-one and classroom settings.

Patience is one of the most important parts of teaching, and it's something I bring to every session. Whether a student needs help catching up or wants to get ahead, I focus on building their confidence and helping them feel comfortable asking questions.

About the lesson

I believe in using the power of imagination to make learning relatable and easier to understand for kids. I take a direct approach to teaching but always use different methods to help each child grasp the topic in a way that works best for them. I’m confident in my approach because I truly believe that a great tutor can help a child not just learn, but actually fall in love with a subject.
