About Nathan
After a bachelors degree in human and social sciences, I started a master degree in anthropology at the University of Liège. I am currently in Master 2. My university career has led me to take an interest in various themes: gender studies, studies of masculinities, art and anthropology, ethics in anthropology, etc. These specific interests have been made possible thanks to a course offering a wide range of disciplines in the social sciences, namely economics, political science, sociology, anthropology and history. Although I tend to specialize in anthropology, obtaining my bachelors degree could only be done by mastering these different disciplines.

It is in my interest to undertake my teaching method according to the needs of the students, which implies the construction of tailor-made courses. The method I use starts from the observation that the bachelor student sometimes does not have the hindsight or the bibliography necessary to store the concepts and social phenomena theorized and analyzed by the authors seen s in class. In case of gaps in a specific subject, I am therefore able to give an ex-cathedra course based on the content seen in class by re-explaining and recontextualizing so that the student can easily appropriate the subject. One of the most important skills to acquire in the social sciences is to make connections between different concepts, different schools of thought. A gap vis-à-vis a specific author will potentially require a comparison of his work with other authors because it is through contextualization that it is possible to identify the thinking of this specific author. Whatever happens, it is important for me to be attentive to the needs of the student as much as possible. My course will adapt from one session to another depending on the state of progress as well as the outcome of my methodology, which in case of failure will be systematically renegotiated with the student. I speak mainly to undergraduate students but I can possibly teach first master students as well.
