About Sheena
I have been teaching since I was 19 years old. In fact, I was asked by my high school Maths teacher to substitute another teacher who was on leave for a month. So basically I taught 12 to 16 year old students. This is where my teaching career started. From there, I was asked to give private tuitions to other students who had trouble in Chemistry and Maths.

First, I completely base my lessons on the syllabus of the subject so that I have a general idea of how to prepare my classes. My second approach is get to know my student, his weaknesses and strengths. My goal is to concentrate on the student's weaknesses, spend more time on these topics, deliver the lesson through interaction, various types of problem- solving questions (in class and as homework) to ensure that he grasped the topic. In this way, the student will gain more confidence once he starts getting comfortable around the topic in question. At the end of each chapter, I always give a miscellaneous exercise which compromises a mixture of questions whereby I can easily see if my student gets confused and if he requires any further attention on the chapter. If not, I move on to the next.
