About Athika
My name is Athika and I’m currently in university studying Mathematics with Economics. In my free time I enjoy teaching and helping others with the knowledge and skills I have built up. This doesn’t only include maths and economics tutoring but volunteer coaching in sports such as kickboxing, taekwondo and volleyball. Helping students that were once in my shoes allows me to give back to the community and I believe is a great way in using my time.

My approach towards tutoring starts with checking knowledge that students have gone over in school. This consists of asking questions and testing knowledge therefore I can find gaps in any knowledge and help students in areas they didn’t understand in school. Following this, I will go over exam questions in the relevant topics in order for students to be able to apply and understand the topic to a greater level. Every lesson will start with a small recap and testing knowledge of what we went over in the previous lesson to help students recall what they’ve learnt and also be prepared in their own time to be able to engage well in this.
