About Emilie
I completed a DEC in Science, Literature and Arts because I was quite unsure of what I wanted to do as a career. Despite my uncertainty, I decided to pursue in Biology because it felt ambitious in a way and I don't regret it because it's a fun ride! And I plan to continue it by doing a Master after i'm done with my Bachelor.
It's okay to feel unsure about our path, I think the most important thing through all of this is to enjoy your learning journey and give your best in anything you do. That's how I've maintained high grades throughout my university, I'm organized and try to always give my 100% (or the most I can without compromising my mental health). I do it for myself so I can be proud of the work I've done and if I can do it you can also do it and I'm here to support you and help you through that.

Hi, my name is Emilie, I'm a 24 years old student at University of Montreal. I'd love to help you understand one of the most interesting subject in school (in my opinion!), biology! Even though I'm mostly specialized in cellular and molecular biology, the little stuff, biology is a pretty vast subject and covers a lot of fascinating facts.
I think that teaching requires different approach because everyone learns differently. It should be adapted depending on the student need. I like the idea of a hybrid style that integrates lecture supported by visuals and notes, interaction with the students, questions and resolving problems, cases study, promoting critical thinking, etc.
I think what sets me apart is my charisma and my ability to make people feel comfortable. I'm quite a laid back person but still organized and able to be professional, it makes a great combo! I'll also be able to be reached out whenever via email if the student as any questions outside of the tutoring lesson.
I can adapt the lesson to the needs of my student. But since I live pretty far and have no car, all the lessons will have to be online (via Zoom per example).
