About Nichola
Hi, I’m Nichola, and I’ve been a private tutor for the past two years, helping high school students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I specialize in teaching Year 11 and 12 content, but I also work with students across all high school levels. I believe learning works best when it’s clear, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs, which is why I focus on explaining concepts, demonstrating examples, and guiding students through practice questions until they feel confident. I love teaching because it allows me to help students understand challenging material, develop problem-solving skills, and gain the confidence to succeed in exams and beyond.

My approach to tutoring is structured, clear, and student-focused. I teach content first to ensure students have a solid conceptual foundation, using worked examples to demonstrate how ideas are applied, before moving into guided and independent practice questions to reinforce understanding and build confidence. Lessons typically run for 60–90 minutes, allowing enough time to explain concepts thoroughly while still prioritising active problem-solving and questions. I have two years of experience as a private tutor, working with students across a range of abilities. My lessons are suitable for any high school level, with particular emphasis on supporting Year 11 and 12 students in mastering curriculum content and preparing for assessments and exams.
