About Chinmay
I am a student pursuing my bachelors in engineering. I stay in bangalore, and take home classes for young students.
I hold a 4th Year diploma degree in Tabla from Bhatkhande University.
I have Played solo tabla whereas also accompanied various flute,sarangi,guitar,santoor,sarod artist.
I am a active member of college music club and we go all over bangalore to perform in different colleges.

Today, the Benares tabla gharana is well known for its powerful sound, though Benares players are also very capable of playing delicately and sensitively.
In the benares gharana the "nikas" i.e the clarity of the sound is very important. You have to give a mouth to your instrument.
In this course we will be discussing the basics bols of tabla .Later on we will be doing kaydas,tukras,chakaradharas,taals and many more.
This class are intented for School children ,college level and all those people who are new to the world of tabla and or for the ones who are confused ,how to get their hands on the instrument
