About Lara
Having achieved A*s in English, Mandarin, French, and Latin GCSEs and French A-Level, my passion for languages is easily conveyed through my academic achievements. Currently, I’m studying French and Arabic at the University of Edinburgh which has further equipped me with the necessary tools to explain the many intricacies found within the English language and help others understand the weird and wonderful rules of English grammar. With a focus on spoken language, these lessons will enhance your confidence as well as enable you to interact with native speakers in a natural manner. I’m very flexible and am open to any suggestions. Having recently concluded secondary education myself, I understand the occasional reluctance one might feel to do additional work outside of school. It is with that in mind that I work to make my sessions with younger pupils as engaging as possible. Additionally, my time as the Head Girl of Highgate School is testament to my ability to foster healthy relationships with younger peers. Communication is key and my aim is to aid both primary and secondary students in developing this skill by practicing and improving their English.
