I tailor my lessons based on the student's learning styles and the level of Maths being taught. I focus on helping students to understand the 'why' behind different concepts instead of just the 'how'. As I have found this allows students to apply what they have learned to a wider range of question types, ultimately yielding higher grades. The GCSE exams test a wide range of Maths skills, my approach reflects this as I balance conceptual understanding with exam strategies. Lessons typically last one hour although I can extend this to two hours upon request.
