Hi! I'm Mark. I was born in Connecticut and have been speaking english my whole life. I also have worked at a japanese restaurant for 4 years and studied Japanese in college. Language is multi faceted subject to teach. I break down Japanese into Grammer, vocabulary, Kanji (Chinese loan chapters Japanese uses), Speaking, Listening and Reading/Writing. I use methods so that students don’t just memorize phrases, but have a innate understanding of how to construct their own sentences, and like to build a framework for further learning. I explore sentence construction, different grammatical aspects, including the dreaded verb conjugation. I’ve found that building as strong base allows students to feel more comfortable with the language. I utilize the Genki 1/2 books as well as resources for Kanji, and Vocabulary.
