About Sophie
I am committed to providing students with all the support they need to best succeed in their learning. I have a passion for teaching English, developed over a number of years working as a tutor and in schools. My previous studies in Communications and Screenwriting have also contributed to a deep love for literacy. I believe in the importance of instilling a high level of literacy in all my students, and working to meet each student's unique potential.

In my lessons, I seek to engage students by encouraging them to think critically, ask questions, celebrate their learning strengths and identify areas for improvement. I have worked as a tutor for over 3 years, with a focus on English, and a passion for developing students' reading and writing skills. I am currently working in Learning Support in Primary education, while I complete my Master's in Secondary Teaching. My lessons are 60 to 90 minutes long, depending on the student's needs. I seek to support the learning done at school, as well as provide additional learning resources, suited to the student's unique interests and ability level.
