About Tyler
I have been tutoring and studying mathematics now for 5 years! After completing the HSC in 2014 I went on to study a Bachelor of Medical and Radiation Physics at the University of Wollongong. Whilst studying in the medical industry however I quickly developed a passion for teaching and a love for mathematics. This excitment hence led to my transfer into the education facilty in 2018.
By the end of 2020 I will be a fully qualified maths teacher, but until then I am studying hard and tutoring youth to keep my excitement for teaching at bay!
I have a deep knowledge of mental health in young adults, many years experience both tutoring and studying and also have experience studying in a number of different fields at university including mathematics, physics, psychology and human anatomy. Mathematics can be a very daunting subject, especially when high begins to introduce very abstract concepts such as algebra and trigonometry.
My methods aim to find what perspective and method of education works best for each of my students individually, and building on those ideas to practice note writing and in class techniques with the hope that eventually you won’t even need me!
