About Gilder

I’ve spent my entire career working with languages, and it’s something that genuinely brings me joy. I speak several languages myself, so I know how empowering it feels when a new word suddenly makes sense or when you can express an idea clearly for the first time. That feeling is what made me want to teach. Over the years, I’ve taught English, Spanish, literacy, linguistics and academic writing to students from many backgrounds: school students, adult learners, international students and teachers. What motivates me is watching people grow in confidence. I enjoy helping students understand why the language works the way it does, not just memorizing rules. Teaching is more than a job for me; it’s something I deeply believe in. Every learner has a story, a goal, and a unique way of understanding the world. My role is to support that journey, make learning clearer and easier, and create a space where students feel capable, encouraged and excited to improve.

About the lesson

I speak several languages myself, so I know exactly what it feels like to struggle with pronunciation, writing, confidence, or finding the right words in the moment. My approach is simple:
I adapt the lesson to you rather than forcing you into a fixed method.

Here’s what working with me looks like:

We focus on clear goals (conversation, writing, literacy, exams, or real-life communication).

I explain things in a way that actually makes sense, using examples from linguistics so you finally understand why a rule works.

I keep the atmosphere relaxed, friendly, and supportive.

Looking forward to helping you learn in a way that feels clear, enjoyable, and genuinely effective.
