About Gilder
I’ve spent my entire career working with languages, and it’s something that genuinely brings me joy. I speak several languages myself, so I know how empowering it feels when a new word suddenly makes sense or when you can express an idea clearly for the first time. That feeling is what made me want to teach. Over the years, I’ve taught English, Spanish, literacy, linguistics and academic writing to students from many backgrounds: school students, adult learners, international students and teachers. What motivates me is watching people grow in confidence. I enjoy helping students understand why the language works the way it does, not just memorizing rules. Teaching is more than a job for me; it’s something I deeply believe in. Every learner has a story, a goal, and a unique way of understanding the world. My role is to support that journey, make learning clearer and easier, and create a space where students feel capable, encouraged and excited to improve.
