About Rosie
Teaching French for the past 3 years has been a study in how language reveals thought. With a degree in International Relations with French, I bring a global perspective to each lesson. Authentic materials—news, podcasts, interviews—form the basis of my teaching. They allow students to hear modern French as it’s actually spoken. Through them, we practice pronunciation, pacing, and the fluidity of natural speech. I love guiding learners toward confidence in both listening and speaking. Many of my students are analysts and researchers seeking to use French in meaningful contexts. Together, we explore the interplay between language, culture, and interpretation. My teaching philosophy is simple: French should be spoken, experienced, and enjoyed. I focus on active communication through realistic, food-centered themes. Students practice vocabulary for ordering, cooking, and talking about dining experiences. Each session blends structured learning with free conversation. I guide learners to use authentic phrases that sound natural in everyday situations. For exam and academic learners, I include grammar reinforcement and clear pronunciation practice. We also listen to real dialogues from French restaurants and culinary podcasts. These exercises help develop comprehension and rhythm. I aim to create a relaxed, engaging environment where mistakes are part of progress. Every topic connects language with culture, especially around French gastronomy. By the end of each class, you’ll feel more confident and fluent. Together, we’ll make learning French a flavorful journey.
