Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
My teaching approach is founded on progressive learning, prioritising water safety and skill development. I employ a variety of techniques tailored to individual needs, including fun games, and repetition of the swimming strokes to reinforce proper swimming techniques. My methodology fosters a positive and encouraging environment, building confidence alongside proficiency in the water.
Typical Length of a Lesson:
Lessons typically span 30 to 45 minutes, allowing for a balance between focused instruction and active engagement. This duration ensures optimal learning while keeping young swimmers engaged and motivated throughout the session.
**Please note - I have experience working with children with disabilities, both visible and hidden, if you're child/adolescent has any special requirements/needs please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss the options to ensure the most beneficial outcome for your child!
Qualifications/Experience as a Swim instructor:
As an Austswim-certified Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (TSW), I bring over three years of comprehensive experience in both private and community settings. My expertise encompasses teaching various age groups and skill levels, honing my ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning styles effectively and in a fun and stress free environment. Additionally, I hold a Working with Children's Check (WWCC), ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for all participants.
Target Audience for Lessons:
My lessons cater to children and adolescents ranging from ages 2 to 18, encompassing a wide spectrum of skill levels from beginners to more advanced swimmers.
Whether introducing young beginners to water safety or refining techniques/further practice for stronger swimmers, my aim is to create a tailored lesson plan that meets the unique needs and goals of each individual, fostering a lifelong love for swimming and aquatic activities!
