About Thalia
I have been tutoring for over 3 years which included VCE Studio Arts units 3 and 4 and art for kids ages 6 to 17 years old. I am a student at Swinburne University studying a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences and Mental Health Certificate IV. In 1+2 and 3+4 VCE I completed Studio Arts, getting 100 in semester 1 which included art folio and essays. I tutored 3 students for Studio Arts, bumping their letter grade from a C-B+ to an A and A+.

Teaching through art is different to most subjects as it involves more stylistic and creative choice. Academically, focusing on improving the art through the student's style and annotations will get them a higher mark on their folio. Essays and written works will be more specifically tailored. In the first lesson, I would need to see where they're currently at, and revolve my teaching lessons around their needs. I typically plan lessons and have general mock-ups of how I'd like them to progress.

The first lesson with Thalia will allow you to get to know each other and discuss your needs for future lessons.

Details
$30-40 per hour, but it is to be discussed and based on the learning needs.
Travel fee: if travel distance for me is 25 minutes or more to get to you (or our discussed location), a small fee will be charged. For every 10 minutes after the 25, it will be $5 extra added to the total of lesson's fee. This will be determined via Googlemaps.
25 minutes will add $5 to the total.
35 minutes will add $10 to the total. Etc.
