About Sophie
I’m very passionate about STEM subjects, having enjoyed coding and maths all my life. Therefore, I sometimes like to help students at my school with their maths or computing work. I’ve completed several big coding projects, such as building my own website and starting to learn Unity (a game development engine).

About the lesson

From experience helping students at my school, I like to firstly teach them the concept e.g. how to factorise quadratics, and then get them to apply it.
I’ll do this via exam-style questions, and if a student is stuck, I will help but I will try to let them figure it out first.
Lesson times are flexible, and can be anywhere from 1-2 hours, as I don’t want to burn out my client.
I’ve got strong predicted grades in maths and computer science, and am aiming for at least an 8 in my GCSE exams of 2026 in both of them.
Because I will have just taken GCSEs, I am willing to teach up to KS3, so I can ensure I comfortably know all the content.
