Hi there!
My name is Christopher I'm a public accountant who studied and graduated at a New Zealand university & has worked in Accounting (Business Service & taxation) since early 2019.
In my spare time, I love to go bushwalking, read, and knit. If you would like to learn to knit, I'm more than happy to show you how to make a scarf! I'm also always happy to be recommended books to read if I think I'll learn something from them!

Firstly, I fundamentally believe that every competent accountant needs to know their debits and credits perfectly. It is a rather clever and simple system with the right thought processes and I will rigidly ensure you understand the differences - Every public accounting director/partner I've ever had, agrees on this.
Once debits and credits have been taught such that there is a confident and backed up response to every question given, I have created dummy tax returns in Xero, a commonly used software application in public accounting, to create a dummy BAS and annual compliance job, which will not just teach you accounting, but also the the ins and outs of public accounting. If you can successfully do individual returns with rental schedules, alongside GST and tax reconciliations before graduating, employers will turn their heads.
I also am willing to discuss tax theory, given I specialise in the industry - this tends to be more esoteric and less relevant to the typical business services job, but some elements such as superannuation and some of the more common TRs are excellent strong skills to enter the workforce for.
I am looking to train anybody looking to enter accounting, up to the graduate accounting level (finishing up university).
