About Stu

I’m a creative professional with over a decade of experience in video editing, motion graphics, and visual storytelling. Since 2012 I’ve worked with creative agencies and now run my own production company, producing content for clients across real estate, hospitality, and commercial sectors. My background as both a photographer and video producer has given me a strong eye for detail and a practical approach to teaching. I’m also a certified and insured drone pilot, which has added another layer of creativity to my projects — from cinematic aerials to dynamic promotional videos. Over the years, I’ve developed streamlined workflows and techniques that help me deliver projects quickly and at a high standard, and these are exactly the methods I share with my students. Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy. I love breaking down complex software into simple, easy-to-follow steps, helping beginners find their confidence and guiding intermediates to push their creativity further. My goal is always to make learning engaging, practical, and relevant to real-world projects.

About the lesson

I offer private tuition in video editing and motion graphics, designed to take you from the basics through to creating polished, professional-quality videos. My teaching style is practical, hands-on, and tailored to each student. Every lesson mixes demonstration, guided practice, and project-based learning so you don’t just watch me edit — you actually build your own projects. Whether it’s a YouTube edit, a short promo video, or animated titles, you’ll leave each session with something tangible and new skills under your belt. Typical lesson length: 60–90 minutes, giving enough time for explanation, practice, and Q&A. Experience & background: I’ve worked in creative agencies since 2012 and now run my own production company, producing video, motion graphics, and drone content for clients in real estate, hospitality, and commercial sectors. This means I can not only teach you the software but also show you how editing works in the real world.
